To mark the20 years of Wikimedia CH, we launch the video series Next 20″, inviting you to look ahead into the future – with a touch of science fiction and a strong focus on what lies beyond the horizon.

The series highlights technology topics that will become increasingly relevant for consumers over the next 20 years, shaping our digital lives in lasting ways. Each episode features an expert from the field, offering insights into their work and sharing perspectives on which developments and questions are likely to gain importance in public discourse.

“Next 20” is explicitly designed for non-technical, non-expert audiences. The videos provide accessible introductions while, above all, serving as an invitation to explore the topics in greater depth.

The series is part of Innovation Compass, a project that develops perspectives on possible future technology scenarios and their potential impact on the Wikiverse. Innovation Compass works with digital blueprints, research outcomes, white papers and interviews, and is run by the Wikimedia CH’s Innovation Programme.
